Just as every industry is moving towards development, the automobile industry of Pakistan is also moving forward. Today, the trend of the auto industry is towards electric cars, which are also called eco-friendly cars. Pakistan has also stepped into this industry. and introduced its first auto car in August this year.

Pakistan's first electric car was launched in August

The first Pakistani-made electric car was launched in August of the same year.  This is Pakistan's first locally developed electric car with the joint efforts of DICE Foundation, Universities and Private Sector which was launched in Karachi on the occasion of Pakistan's 75th Independence Day. The launch event of this car was held at a local hotel.  Bookings for the NUR-E 75 car will begin in late 2024 for the public.  Its battery is developed at NED University of Engineering and Technology, it has advanced features and is equipped with advanced technology.

Manufacture in Pakistan

All the machinery of the car is manufactured in Pakistan and the car is designed by the National College of Arts (NCA). The first Pakistan-made electric car was launched in the month of August.  An eight-hour charging session with a 220V connection will allow the car to cover 210 kilometers.

Milestone For Ecoonomic Stability

Dr. Khursheed Qureshi, Chairperson of Dice Foundation, described the car developed by Pakistan as a milestone for the economic stability of the country.  further said that in the next phase they intend to produce a sedan vehicle and after that they also intend to produce an SUV. Dr. Qureshi said that an investment A, B, C round for commercial production.  He said that the car will be marketed under the JAXRI brand.

Economical Benefits

He further said that when the car is mass produced, it will also help in preventing environmental pollution.  He further said that it will also be beneficial from an economic point of view because the cost of fuel will be saved and thus the foreign exchange will be protected.  will join the ranks of developed countries that manufacture electric cars. And through access to this technology, the country will be on the path of economic stability.  The inauguration ceremony was attended by the owners of automobiles companies, entrepreneurs and trade personalities. They thanked Dr. Qureshi and his team for introducing the automobile, which brought a new dimension to the Pakistan auto industry.

Although this is Pakistan's first foray into electric auto industry, hopefully with time it will innovate and Pakistan will make a name for itself in the auto industry as Pakistan has no dearth of brilliant minds and top performers and Pakistanis are hardworking peoples.
