German automaker Volkswagen has recaptured the top-selling
electric vehicle in Germany from American automaker Tesla. Due to German
carmaker Volkswagen, Germany sold the most electric vehicles during the first
seven months of this year. Tesla, an American automaker, came in second in
Germany for electric vehicle sales.

Although the number of new electric cars sold during these
seven months climbed dramatically, it still fell far short of sales of petrol
and diesel
