On French Beaches, smoking near Schools is now Prohibited:

The French government has announced that a new national anti-smoking plan will soon ban smoking on all of the country's beaches, near schools, in public parks, and all forests. In the French capital Paris, the country's health minister, Aurelian Rousseau, said that the current laws regarding the prohibition of smoking in public places will be tightened in the future in the European Union member country.

National Anti-Tobacco Plan:

There are already around 7,200 areas in France that have been declared tobacco-free. However, in the future, this ban will be imposed by the central government under a national law.

Government Responsibilities:

"Now we want to create a new rule with the transfer of government responsibilities (from the local to the national level) in this regard, which will be the law and standard of the future," said the country's health minister Russo. The Paris government also plans to possibly ban the sale of electronic cigarettes, known as "vapes" or more commonly known as "puffs," in the country, which are popular among young people and have to be thrown away after one use. The draft law on the ban on electronic cigarettes will be presented to the National Assembly in Paris for discussion in December.

Taxes on Cigarettes are also Continuously Increasing:

The French government also intends to gradually but continuously increase taxes on cigarettes and other tobacco products in the country under the national action plan against tobacco. Minister of Health Rousseau explained that at the moment in France, A pack of twenty cigarettes can be bought for about 11 euros ($12). However, the government wants to increase taxes on tobacco to 12 euros per pack by 2025 and then 13 euros per pack in 2026.

Tobacco-Free Generation:

In the words of Aurelian Rousseau, the government wants France to have "the country's first tobacco-free generation by 2032" as promised by President Emmanuel Macron. According to national statistics, every year in France 75,000 people die from diseases caused by smoking and other tobacco products.
