The Aspiration of Chinese youth to Work as Civil Servants is Growing:
Youth are choosing government work due to concerns about job
security in China and a lack of private sector employment possibilities. This
year, the civil
services test was taken by nearly three million candidates in China who
were hoping to get posts in the central government. The large number of
applicants is indicative of young people's worries about job security in this
unstable economy.
Civil Services Exam:
China Daily, a Chinese news agency, reports that 237 cities
around the nation held concurrent civil services exams last Sunday. According
to a report
in the publication Global Times, there was competition for 36,900 positions,
with an average of 77 applicants applying for each vacancy.
Job Opportunities in the Private Sector:
According to a Global Times report, China has seen a rise in
the number of applicants for government posts over the last five years, with
6.2 million applying for 37,100 positions in government and affiliated organizations
last
year. The exam was administered. There aren't many jobs available in
China's private sector right now. This is an additional factor in the youth's
decision to work for the government.

On the social networking site Weibo, a Chinese national made
the following comment: "In general, the (economic) conditions here are
not excellent. Employers are letting go of staff members, and many are even

Most people's job Prospects:
A China News Network article claims that there are fewer
students enrolling in graduate programmes in China. According to Chu Xiaohui, a
researcher
at the China National Academy of Educational Sciences, one cause is worries
about landing a job. "Most people's job prospects after graduate school
are relatively low (now)," according to him.
Economy Decline:
China had a particularly severe lockdown during the COVID-19
pandemic, and the country's economy suffered greatly during this time. To
